  • The minimum jail time for a first offense DUI in Alaska is three days in jail.

  • Under Alaskan law, bars don't have to close until 5 am, but many communities have an earlier closing of around 2 am.

  • Since 1950, Alaska has recorded more avalanche fatalities than any other state.
