A scrimshaw, which is a whale tooth and with image carved into the tooth.

A Daguerreotype
A Daguerreotype, from 1855, brought in by a collector. The photo is of the collector's great-great grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Dobbins, Sr. He was a Daguerreian, which means a photographer of daguerreotypes.

Kansas Constitution
A copy of the Kansas Constitution from 1859 that belonged to James Winchell. Winchell was the president of the Wyandotte Constitution.

Fork Roaster
A three-footed split fork roaster that is for hearth cooking. It's papers from England indicate that it was made in 1760.

Beaded Bag
A Native American Indian beaded tobacco bag made sometime between 1875 and 1885. This bag was potentially owned by Geronimo. Geronimo was an Apache warrior born in 1829. For more than 20 years he battled the U.S. forces who attempted to settle the Apache lands.

An Infamous Gun
A gun from the 1850s, supposedly owned at one point by the infamous Jesse James. Jesse grew up just outside of Kansas City. During the Civil War, he joined forces with the Confederate Guerillas. The .36 caliber Navy was the preferred gun of the Confederates.
