First Whiskey
When I was living in a neighboring Amish community, me and several of my good friends were experiencing our first whiskey at one of the singens out behind the barn. I'm in the middle. 1999 —Mose Gingerich

St. Louis
When I was teaching school in Yoder, Kansas, I decided to go home over Christmas and visit my family in Wisconsin. I took the Greyhound bus, and decided to have a stranger snap this pic of me in St. Louis at the bus stop with the arch in the background. 2001 —Mose Gingerich

Sixteen
When I was 16, I left the Amish for the first time for about 6 months. This is a pic that was taken. It is the earliest picture of me, and I regret to say, the only pic of me during that time out. 1996 —Mose Gingerich

Strumming
This is me trying my hand at a guitar when I lived in Yoder, Kansas. One of my buddies came by and we were strumming. 2001 —Mose Gingerich

Motorized Buggy
I worked for an English guy in his sawmill when I was Amish. One winter day my horse got loose and ran home. I had him hook his four-wheeler on my buggy and drive me home. Even then, I had a weird sense of humor. 1998 —Mose Gingerich

Buggy Ride
This is one Sunday afternoon when my Amish family was in church. Me and my (then girlfriend) (now wife) went to Wisconsin on vacation. I decided it's time for her to have a ride in my old Amish buggy. 2004 —Mose Gingerich

This is a picture of the home place where I was born and raised. Nestled about a half mile off the road in Greenwood, Wisconsin. 1998 —Mose Gingerich

Dairy Barn
A pic of the inside of the dairy barn where I spent so much of my childhood years, milking cows by hand. No electricity. 1999 —Mose Gingerich
