This is just the shoddiest science I have had the misfortune to encounter!  For the repeated talk of this project costing millions of dollars, why does it look like amature hour?

For starters, you are running a multi-million dollar project, so why are you dependant on tunnels blasted out by poacher? Surely you would use a full archeological team to find a mammoth fully encased in permafrost, dig it out and take it back to a controlled environment to secure the best cells from the animal? Rather than relying on one Canadian who does stupid stuff himself, and then lets other people ignore his safety advice??

Then we come to selecting the elephants to get eggs from and to carry the mammoth...again, surely you would include every last captive elephant in the world, for the best subjects, and not be limited to half a dozen mankey examples kept in a tin shed in Borneo?!?

Then you have the size of the elephants, surely a developing mammoth would destroy one of those tiny elephants? You would be far better using a large African elephant?

I fail to see how this project will succeed, with such little care taken at either end of the process.
