Ben McGee
THE SKEPTIC
To assess the validity of strange lights in the sky, reports of unusual animal mutilations or unknown objects found at an alleged alien spaceship crash site, Chasing UFOs had to look no farther than Ben McGee. A space-minded geoscientist, Ben is engaged in the development of xenoarchaeology - a speculative form of archaeology exploring possible alien life and culture.
Ben is a true skeptic by nature, and as Chasing UFOs' resident scientist, he brings a wealth of diverse academic and scientific know-how to the team. A respected field researcher with experience in nuclear rocketry, planetary geology, hydrology and glaciology, Ben's job is to gather evidence at proposed sites of unexplained occurrences and scientifically determine its origin.
No stranger to investigating physical phenomena, Ben has drilled through arctic glaciers, chased dust devils with Mars researchers, scoured radioactive craters, probed aquifers thousands of feet beneath desert basins and aimed mountaintop observatories at alien volcanoes. His passion for collecting diverse types of physical data in extreme environments makes him the perfect complement to the Chasing UFOs team.
Despite having his feet firmly planted on the ground, this explorer-scientist's ultimate goal is to leave boot tracks on another world. He is an aspiring commercial astronaut who's trained in space centrifuges, and he yearns for an office in the sky. It's fair to say that Ben has literally spent his life chasing the stars.

Erin Ryder
THE 'SKELIEVER'
Lara Croft. Amelia Earhart. Dana Scully. Whether in fiction or nonfiction, there are few hard-hitting, tough-as-nails females as fearless as Erin Ryder, or Ryder, as she prefers to be called. Her unique perspective, competitive nature and determination to undercover the truth have taken her around the globe to research claims of the strange and mysterious.
Ryder's impressive resume includes rafting the world's largest waterfall, rappelling the Great Wall of China and scaling glaciers in Antarctica. In Chasing UFOs, she exhibits this same all-out approach and adventurous spirit while climbing a 50-foot tree untethered and photographing an unidentified flying object that might just be the real thing!
Her aggressive pursuit of the truth includes not only daring athletic feats but a zealous passion for research. Ryder's deep desire for knowledge helps her serve as the show's barometer, weighing the facts surrounding her co-hosts' opposite points of view. Ryder considers herself a "skeliever," as she falls somewhere between a skeptic and a believer. Deep down she wants to be convinced, but she will need to see the hard evidence first.
Ryder is a force to be reckoned with not only for her brains and brawn, but also for her industry-leading knowledge of all things tech. Her years of experience investigating unsubstantiated claims make her an expert in the field of alien/ghost-hunting technology. Ryder "geeks out" over thermal cameras, Geiger counters and night vision scopes and can't wait to use the latest technology to investigate new and old UFO cases alike. And her skills behind and in front of the camera serve her well as one of the executive producers on the series.

James Fox
THE BELIEVER
If "The X-Files" fictional character Fox Mulder were real, he'd undoubtedly be documentarian James Fox.
For nearly 20 years, Fox traveled across the world in pursuit of the truth regarding UFOs. He directed and produced three films on the subject and in 2007 orchestrated an event, with help from journalist Leslie Kean (Coalition for Freedom of Information), which to this day is hailed as the most credible civilian effort of disclosure on UFOs in history. Fox assembled 14 speakers, including two retired generals and several other military officers, a former governor, civilian pilots and government scientists from seven countries (Belgium, Chile, France, Iran, Peru, U.K. and the U.S.) at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., to give firsthand testimonies on their encounters/investigations with UFOs. He is convinced not only that UFOs are real, but that governments have concealed information on this subject from the public for more than 60 years.
In his study, Fox proudly displays a framed letter from Steven Spielberg, who called his last film "compelling," and states, "I hope the government will someday reveal the true and natural origins of UFOs."
For the first time ever, Fox takes his personal experiences, contacts and expertise on the road with National Geographic Channel's new series, Chasing UFOs. His nonthreatening conversational style of interviewing, open mind and unbiased reputation have given him unfettered access to witnesses, government documents and cases from around the world. If Fox doesn't know a case, he's friends with someone who does. Like Mulder, James Fox firmly believes the truth is out there, and it's a personal journey for him to share the facts with the world.

Hearing Their Stories
The Chasing UFOs team stands with Constable Leroy Gaitan who witnessed a UFO in Dublin, TX.
Hey this is Emanuel from Portugal. I love the show really good the only thing that pisses me off is Ben because he is the most stubborn person I know in the show. I don't know if it is drama for the show or what not but it is really annoying. If I would guess I say that Ben is afraid to believe advanced beings are visiting our planet. I believe that its a help mecanism to lead with this kind of information. I say this because not only the last episode but mostly the episode with the crash of a saucer that it bounced first, the part when you guys found the military button Ben was scared then relieved, it clearly showed (i dont know if it is for show but still). One thing I loved and that was the commentary from Ben about the former military's response about the video that James and Ben argued. He said that it wasn't any kind of missile he have ever seen and then Ben questioned his impartiality becuase of the experience of the same former military. And, after this, I have a question for Ben (don't know his last name) Don't YOU have THE SAME ISSUE about IMPARTIALITY because YOU DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE? In other words, because of the former military experienced in 1950's or something, you questioned his impartiality (meaning he saw a UFO, he says its wasn't a missile, according to the episode) DON'T YOU HAVE THE SAME ISSUE (meaning you don't believe, you say that its an illusion or something else but not extraterrestrial)?

Been investigating ufo's now for 20 years all i can say is great show, good for you if more people could do this maybe more of the public would take this seriously, if i didnt have to work all the time i would be doing what you do in a heartbeat, keep up the good work, and thank you to national geographic for putting this show on Tv......
I've been trying to contact you or anyone on your show. I had an encounter in 1992. I was with my x wife going to my parents house to pick our 2 year old daughter up after a night out. It was very late. Around 3 or 4 in the morning. What was seen scared the crap out of my x wife. I on the other hand couldn't believe what I was seeing. I have new information about the triangle shaped UFO's that have been reported world wide. I've seen many reports on the craft after that night but most of the sightings and comments about it seem to always be embellished greatly. I saw the craft no more than a football field away from myself and my wife. I stopped my car and shut it off. Lights and all. The craft was approaching from a distance and flew directly over myself standing and my car as we sat in the middle of the road. My wife remained in the car asking me over and over to leave.
What I saw, I saw in great detail. Detail no one to this point has seen or reported that I have found so far. Please contact me if you want to know more. I have some incredible observations that will shed a new light on this craft or confirm others suspicions. All I know is they didn't know I was there watching them and I saw everything!I believe I saw more than they wanted me to. If you want to know more please contact me.
One last comment...
To all the haters that watch a show and are driven to write in and comment harshly.... If you don't like the show don't watch it. Some of us who have graduated college physics and astronomy know that things that seem one way can be explained another way very scientifically with no doubt left.
They are at least attempting to debunk some of the garbage that's out there. I believe superstition is not a fact. Everything can be explained eventually even if it is a UFO. But you have to start somewhere. Give them time to streamline the show before you rag on it.
The debunking of the Mexico alien baby was perfect. The old guy that has the alleged alien baby has been on many many UFO shows. Every time his evidence is put to an actual scientific test it fails miserably. That ass knew he had a marmoset and presented it to them as an alien that was caught in a rat trap. The claim itself is stupid and outrageous.
Many superstitious people believe what the guy was saying and showing them. He even claimed to have had the DNA analyzed 5 times. What a liar! Things like this that influence the weak minded need to be debunked. Reality and sanity needs to return to the American population. Kudos to the team for showing this guy as a fraud! Kudos for using science to explain away fear and stupidity!
