Meet the Season Three Preppers
Has anyone noticed that the radio equipment in the radio room change in the episode: Americans, Not Americants?
It is indeed a Fool's Gambit to use attacking others for acquiring resources. Sooner or later, others foil the marauders.
Considering the comments below, I would venture to say it would be good to organize experts in their fields as co-preppers. Further, preppers should take this website as an opportunity to network and see if we can unite and interact to help one another. There are many of us who need a bug-out location; some who are young but inexperienced, and older people who are not as strong but have experience.
What a complete tool. I'd love to see him waddling up with his ridiculous body armor that covers so little of his Stay-Puft body that I'd easily put three rounds through his neck, two through his pancreas and four right underneath his helmet before he's even within range of using his shotgun. I can guarantee him that all my "shiny ARs, .308s and 50,000 rounds" will still be well within my control as he's bleeding out 400 yards from the edge of my property. And one thing he's obviously not considered, he's already carrying the extra 150 lbs. that he says he can do like our soldiers do before he's even donned any of that armor. I probably wouldn't have to waste the ammo, he'll probably have a heart attack well before he gets close. Doofus.
Kenny's blood storage idea is a REALLY bad idea! This guy wont be around long if he tries to use bad blood. You can't just pull a bag of blood and toss it in the fridge. Without something like Heparin the drawn blood will start to clot. Put to much Heparin in and once reintroduced it would cause the wound that was sustained (the reason he needs the blood) to not clot and cause him to bleed out even faster. If the blood is bad from sitting in the crisper drawer like the show displayed, he will die if blood poising and/or infection. Also, I don't know how much blood he thinks he can transfuse without a blood pump. Like I mentioned before, with treated blood it has to be put in at the correct pace or you can overwhelm the blood with the treatment additives such as Heparin and now you can't stop the bleeding. Good luck Kenny! I hope his family is smart enough to pass on the field transfusion with stored blood.
I want to know how this guy was able to own a fully automatic PS90. Unless he is an SOT and it was a post sample with a letter from a law enforcement agency, it is illegal for him to own it. Did it belong to an SOT that was on site during the shoot and thus was not really his as the show would have you believe?
If none of the above,
being shown on national TV breaking NFA laws was a stupid move. Enjoy
the visit from the ATF and federal prison sentence.
That guy won't last two days without a fresh supply of Twinkies. Who is he kidding? Maybe if he was in shape and had some prior military experience he might be a threat but he and his stoned buddies won't be around for very long. Lookout if you have Ding Dongs in your prepper pantry because the marauding moron is coming!!!
Wow, Christina! I feel very badly for you and the others who had to move out because of this nutcase. People like Smith and his gang should be reprimanded for their actions and misbehavior. Just goes to show you what kind of jerks are out there making the lives of the upstanding citizens a nightmare. I wish the best for you!
The 15 acres Smith is on was recently being rented by my household. We were still living there when they first filmed on the property against our wishes. We were informed by Smith and the landowner that we had no rights as the residents to prevent having over a dozen armed individuals camping on the property, potentially for days, with no preparations for sanitation.Instead they attempted to demand access to the house and power. They set up a door in the field to practice home invasions.Smith and his band proceeded to make threats, I.E. stating loudly near the house "We should just shoot them and get it over with" and telling us they would take possession of the property "by any means necessary".All the while they circled the house with rifles which were kept pointed at our home, allowed their dog to harass my ducks and geese, blocked the driveway and drove their vehicles through a seasonal wetland. The production crew and the local police gave us lip service and did nothing. We felt no option but to move out (On top of everything else there are also a lot of safety issues with the house that the owner failed to address and it was becoming apparent that he no intention of doing so.)While we were in the process moving out Smith and his cronies took turns, showing up every few hours to see/ask if we were out yet.As it was we ended up leaving things behind just to get away from the place and had no chance at all to clean up.Smith asked one member of our household if we had left anything valuable behind.
I was disgusted by the way this was filmed, like he is some warrior. He is not preparing to be a warrior, he is preparing to murder innocent people in order to cause the rest of the people death by starvation.
Why are you trying to get us rooting for him to be able to withstand bullets? He may end up shooting people who were watching this show, who were rooting for him.
Also, if he is planning to do this, how does he know he can kill people? Has he done so already?
He might do better than most at first, but if there are any people left anywhere near him, they will gather together to target this worst bad guy. They will be so rageful from his murdering their loved ones that they are likely to destroy his whole family, which will undo all his plans to carry his bloodline into the future.
I'd like to see you try and break into my house and take my things. You with no experience vs my 15 years of military experience as a weapons and tactics instructor, with several combat tours under my belt. The most combat you've seen is getting shot with bird shot at your weak ass body armor. Approach my doorstep and you'll see what a 300win mag round will do to that armor. You really need a different plan
Tyler Smith is an idiot. After watching his portion of the show, I hope all doomsday marauders are as stupid as he is. He really plans on robbing people? I can hardly imagine or comprehend seeing that fat ass approaching anyone's home dressed in scrap metal and bathroom tiles designed to stop bird shot or 22lr. I thought NGTV was doing a Reno 911 type spoof when they started showing this guy. In fact they should bring him back on as a weekly comedy. He even called himself the "apex predator" and demonstrated mock surgery on his wife in a barn, when he had a house to do it in.AMERICA, IF TYLER THE "APEX PREDATOR" COMES TO ROB YOU, HANG A CANDY BAR IN A TREE AT THE TOP OF A HILL AND WATCH GRAVITY DEFEAT HIM. Sorry for my harsh words; I can't get past the fact NGTV put an idiot on the show who plans to rob families.
You were obviously picked on as a child and now projecting that anger with a lack of education. Focus your finances on dental work as apposed to used car parts for body armor. You were able to withstand a side shot on your grill. I doubt your oversized body could withstand running with that armor to the fridge carrying a flare gun. The DP program does have a sense of humor.
L.King, at first I wondered why they would feature that guy too, but I guess it's good to be aware that there are people out there planning to rob and hurt people. It's not surprising at all the more I think about it. At least it's better to know who your enemies are and what they are planning. As I watched I found him to be more comedic than intimidating. The scariest thing about that episode is knowing that he's breeding.
Don't worry, I know where that guy in Tacoma lives who thinks he is so slick. Hey guy in Tacoma- I know where you live so watch out and I must thank you for showing me what you think you have, go ahead and take the poisoned food I will let you have. You are a fool if you think you are going to take other people things when preppers like me prep for people like you! Let the best woman win!
I am appalled that you would feature someone whose "doomsday" plans are to--with his buddies--rob, pillage, and threaten innocent people in order to get the things he needs. Very irresponsible, and it seems to me borders on criminal--aiding and abetting someone who has stated criminal intent. NatGeo--you've just tarnished your good name.
@Cybex Cybex Hi Kenny here, thanks so much for the imfo. on the blood thing, it was something that I let them talk me into, never wanted to do that, I though it was stuped,it's a show , don't belive every thing you see on there, I know crisper darwer right, they want to make you look like your a little out there, I tryed to hold them a bay, but one day after we had been shooting for about 14 hours in 110 deg. day, i'm like just shout up and do it, that is the realy one big regret on the show, never, never would do that with the blood, that's just crazy. Thanks Kenny
@Brian L. Thanks, it was a living nightmare. The police informed us the threats were not "direct enough" to be actionable. I have since had to move my household protection a little further from the bed so I cannot reach it in my sleep.
@L. King You need to know who is willing to take the risk of stealing during a disaster. Take the current Typhoon victims as a lesson learned. Looting started within hours of the landfall.
@Gregory Faith @L. King I completely understand that. What I have an issue with is that by featuring this guy on their show, they've glorified him and given him a platform to talk about crimes he's going to commit. Now, is this guy going to influence other sick people out there? I just think it was irresponsible to have him on the show.
