Steve is not bringing a lot of food with him so he must also store food at the bug out location. If not, he will be eating Tom's food and this could be a problem later on as food is depleted. Other than harvesting wild game, they both don't have a resupply plan at all for other food.

If their bug out location is compromised, do they have a alternative location picked out? Their Alamo might fall and they'll need another remote location picked out beforehand.

As seen in the footage I saw and the security exercise, they could use a good combat related class. They did not use any cover or concealments at time during the exercise.

Joining their two families together not only gives them more skill sets and equipment, but also more morale support and friendship.
