Doomsday Preppers: Creative Prep: Dog Warriors
For this prepper, the ultimate weapon is a pack of Slovakian German Shepards.
We had a lot of fun doing things I do everyday out here in Colorado. That being said, the couple that are trying to slander, and commit defamation of character, and other idiotic issues, were refunded $2000 for their dog being trained for over & weeks at my facility,a nd were in FULL KNOWLEDGE of their dog being on the show. It is very low that people do not tell the truth and real trainers like me who work hard take the brunt of insecure and vindictive people. I hope others see what I do and work with their K-9's and see that dogs are
part of a component for security. Thanks!
Alex Dunbar, you said over the phone you would refund the purple heart recipient 4x Veteran $2,000 for a dog you failed to train. You promised that money! Just like all these other victims you've stolen from. This ends when you decided to refund us the money you've taken from us!
I PAID 10, 000 FOR A DOG FROM ALEX ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO NOW. HAD TO PAY VET 1, 100 TO FIX DOGS LEG BECAUSE DOG DID NOT LISTEN TO COMMANDS AND HURT HIS LEG AS HE RAN OFF IN THE WOODS. ALSO STILL DO NOT HAVE PAPERS ON DOG AFTER MANY EMAILS FROM ALEX PROMISING ME THAT I WOULD HAVE THEM ..GUESS WHAT STILL NO PAPERS ..THIS MAN LIED TO ME, THREATENED ME ..WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS MAN DOES THAT TO A CUSTOMER THAT SENT HIM 10, 000 DOLLARS FOR A DOG NO QUESTION ASKED ..DO NOT BUY A DOG FROM HIM ..PLEASE..THANKS
It became obvious that Alex Dunbar had cheated me. This was just some
dog that he got off a goose farm (by his own admission) and brought to
my home. While he was at my home he told me he didn’t think the dog
would bother my geese because he had been living on a goose farm and
joking it had also been his food but of course the dog didn’t know it.
I finally had to kennel the dog at my expense after he threw himself against my front window and broke some glass ornaments on the sill. I had to go back to work and I couldn’t leave this dog loose in my home.
I went out and purchased a crate for the dog and coaxed him into it with dog cookies. I then went outside and started my car as if I was leaving and watched through the window. This dog threw himself around in the crate until I thought he would break a leg or hurt himself.
That was the final act. I did not want to be responsible for the dog to getting hurt in a crate while I was away at work so I kenneled him.
This was not what I paid $7100.00 for.
I called Alex and informed him about what was going on and informed him I was going to send Eri back to Colorado and Alex was very angry telling me that I didn’t give the dog a chance. I told him that I knew good and well the dog was not trained. He said he would not replace the dog but give me my money back because no one could find a dog to suit me. I have owned dogs all my life. I raise, train and show dogs of a different breed but not for protection. I have put many titles on dogs and I know a trained dog and this was not one. It wasn’t even close to what he advertised for a Personal Protection Dog for the amount paid.
The dog was totally unfit for living in a house and untrained. He
destroyed things and threw himself against my window if I walked
outside. He displayed the same behavior when Alex was there and walked
out the front door. The dog threw himself against the door. I brought
that up to Alex and he just dismissed it.
I took this dog to the vet and was told by her to try to get a minimum of 10 pounds on him. His prostrate was enlarged. He was scared silly of the vet. She couldn’t even look in his ears, he fell over and went belly up he was so terrified. When he did you could see the mud just caked on his stomach from living outdoors. The vet and the vet tech thought he was a rescue dog. This was not a well socialized, well adjusted obedience or protection trained dog. I can send a copy of this report.
I took this dog with me everywhere I went for 1 week. I took him to church with me and when I tried to show him to people after church, when they reached out to pet him he shied away. When a car engine started he almost choked himself trying to get away. I had workers at my home and they laughed at him because he was so shy. I called when the workers went to lunch and Alex and he told me to put him in the garage away from the workers.
Really? My Protection Dog in the garage.
I bought what was supposed to be a Personal Protection dog from a
individual named Alex Dunbar of CQBK9 (Close Quarter Battle K9).
I thought I had done my research; there was nothing negative at that time about him on the internet searches or with the BBB.
I paid him $7100.00 for this dog. A dog named Eri. According to his website a Personal Protection dog was supposed to be obedience trained on and off leash and protection trained.
He went to Slovakia to supposedly find a “special” dog just for me because I have other animals including pet geese.
He found a dog in Slovakia that lived on a goose farm and brought it to the states.
He had this dog in his possession less than two weeks before he brought it to my home. I have all the emails that correlate the timing. How much training could have taken place in two weeks time from farm to my house.
The dog could not do simple obedience; he never showed me the dog doing any work. The dog didn’t know sit from down let alone protection work.
His excuse was that the dog was in sensory overload due to my other animals.
He told me to let him acclimate and that I should do some obedience training using food with him and he would be back. My own dogs minded better than the dog he brought.
He was supposed to stay for 3 days to teach me how to use the dog. He left the dog with me in less than 24 hours.
I was even up front (or stupid) enough to give him an extra $100.00 when he sat at my kitchen table and complained of having to pay extra to ship the dog in.
I took a week’s vacation from work to spend bonding, learning to work with this dog and let him acclimate.
This guy is fishing for a sucker. He won't describe the kind of training
on his dogs and if you know enough to ask intelligent questions, and he
knows you are onto his scam he will run like a little girl. Not a
marine.Just look at his website and you will see this guy has to be full
of it.He has a great imagination.I will give him that, but you can get
better dogs from someone more honest, for a much better price.Don't be
fooled.$2000 for his puppies, give me a break you can get puppies out of
national champions for that. His dogs have done nothing.Be careful, shop
around and most importantly don't give this guy a dime until you see his
dogs in person and see them work.
Alex has stolen several thousand dollars from me, and did so by forms of deception. Work was done for Alex as a good gesture of business, and after the work was complete, he pulled the credit card payment back. This boy has zero integrity, no morals and yet he calls himself a Marine. The Marines, have never heard of him. So again ... SCAMMER .... THIEF, and whatever else a boy like this deserves to be called. If you order from his site, be careful as he does not always send the items ordered, and laughs about how many people he has ripped off and braggs he will never get caught.
Also, how did Alex learn how to take such good care of the dogs? Why did he choose to use dogs and does Alex ever adopt military or police dogs that have ended their service?
We really enjoyed filming this episode and showing how dogs' play a crucial role in offgrid living. For more information go to http://www.cqbk9.com
@Ripped Off Pissed Off Thank you so much for defending me. Yes, Alex did send me two money orders and refunded me the full $2,000 for Ariela for his inability to train. I think it was also his way of shutting me up.
What upsets me the most, is that he used my dog on his show without my written consent or verbal permission and without crediting her to our kennel. Ariela who's name was spelled incorrectly by the show has her pictures floating around the web sporting her as CQB K-9. Which is very upsetting. But, I am proud that he sees how amazing of a dog she truly is to try to use her for his own personal gain. Ariela not Ariella (You had her dog tags around her neck).
Unfortunately my dog sustained major teeth damages to her canine teeth, after we explained to him she had high kennel anxiety he still placed her into a 10x10 kennel. We specifically instructed to only feed her in rubber containers which he could pick up at the local Wal-mart. He tried to place us responsible for his destructed buckets. The same buckets that damaged her teeth that were not rubber.
He is not a trainer, and his website promotes that he is. Lie. After Ariela, he posted up disclaimers stating he will not train dogs outside of his kennel. Hmm? Alex buys his dogs from Slovakia already trained. He doesn't have any credentials, or any dog hander training to indicate otherwise. This same man who told my Husband and I that trains with the Navy Seals on his property in Colorado, and that his dog had direct ties to the dog that captured Osama Bin Laden. Also a lie. He also doesn't own a house as he demonstrates in his YouTube Video which are restricted from comments? I wonder why? Alex has two buildings on his property, which are two very small sheds converted into sleeping cabins. His dogs, all live outside with the exception for his personal favorites that he rotates in a small 10 x 10 room.
I learned a lot from alex. That is there are a lot of dishonest people in the dog training world. Please, do your homework, do google searches on the individuals before you even consider doing training with a stranger. Any dog handler, should have credentials, Do not take an internet certificate as proof. Everything is researchable. Do your homework.
Now my husband and I are going to dog training school, so we can learn to train the correct way and that way we can put dishonest people like Alex Dunbar out of business. So he did us a favor. He pushed us to our next chapter in life, where we can enjoy our Military retirement with our Shepherds doing what we love.
