Livin’ Off the Land

Published
The guys (Billy Taylor, Bill Jr. Taylor, Caleb Taylor and Chris Williams) prepare to dig for ginseng. Most of the American ginseng exported from the U.S. goes to Hong Kong.

In the mountains of Appalachia, Billy Taylor and his sons are on the hunt for the largest single ginseng root — the legendary Bartholomew. Along the Delaware River, Ray Turner makes his daily check of the eel dam and finds a serious problem — no eels. A hole in the dam has allowed all of the eels to escape and Ray must repair it quickly before night falls. Although backbreaking, the tough work is worth it for all the men and women who wish to live out their dreams in the home of the brave.
