David Crowe spent 18 years on Death Row for shooting and robbing the manager of a lumber store where he and his wife were employed. The coroner concluded the manager had been shot three times, beaten with a paint bucket and a crowbar, and been gruesomely mutilated over several hours. A Georgia jury found Crowe guilty of murder and imposed the death sentence. After fifteen years, his appeals exhausted, he was schedule to die by lethal injection at 7:00 pm on May 22, 2008.
