THIS IS OUR FOOD SUPPLY - WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW.   thank you Nat Geo for airing this - a huge thank you to the young man who had the guts to obtain this upsetting footage. I think we were all under the impression the animals were being treated better than this - who wants to be processed while STILL ALIVE ? There is NO REASON why any animal should be tortured. Any legitimate farms out there will need to come forward to be a certified cruelty-free facility to re-gain our trust. We will definetly be exploring the organic farms... and never eating ham again.

Horrific pain, fright and suffering is inherent in factory farming,  the modern method of food production.  Even without this deliberate torture inflicted upon these poor scared animals by the workers, the conditions by which farm "food" animals are raised to become peoples "hamburgers", "bacon", "thanksgiving meal" are nothing short of cruel and appalling.   The animals are subjected to intense confinement and deprived of all natural processes.  Every minute of their life is agony.  The woman defending this type of food production would be laughable if this wasn't so gruesome.  Thank you National Geographic for airing this investigation.  The one thing people can do to combat this is to start with their own dietary choices.  Choose non-violence and compassion ~ give up the animal products.  It is so easy, and it is the right thing to do.

This makes me sick. there is no reason to treat our farm animals in this manner. Big business industries are evil.

There is no NEED to abuse farm animals. There are many workers who are so overworked and frustrated that they take it out on the animals-that should be changed. The main thing is the guys at the top, who are raking in obscene profits, are NOT going to do anything that might cut into that. Pay people a living wage? Why do that when you can hire illegals for a fraction of that and if anything bad happen, deport them. Then bring in some more in a week or two. Corporations run on a “slave owner” mentality. The money is the only thing that matters. It doesn’t matter that they could make these changes, end this sickening treatment of animals AND workers. They will never agree to make less money. It seems once you start making millions, it’s never enough.

I have been watching these videos for years. I have become vegan because I refuse to support an industry of cruelty. Besides making the occasional donation to MFA (I’m poor so I do what I can) it’s the only real power I have. We all have this power. If people stop supporting the industry, they’ll HAVE to change.

I have to stop now, so I can wash the tears from my face. Sometimes I'm ashamed to be part of the human race

Keep the videos running, America needs to know what these horrible farmers/breeders are doing to GOD's innocent animals, & for WHAT reason?????  would like to hear their reasons for this kind of animal abuse.  The companies who buy from these farmers/breeders should be dealth with too, shameful!!!!  Common sense tells you, if they didn't oppose to having videos/camera there in their buildings , they have NOTHING TO HIDE!!!  Plain & Simple!!!  I have just about quit eating any kind of meat, since I have seen these terrible acts done to the animals, wish the animals could kick, stomp, spear, these humans to the floor & stomped the living day likes out of them, then ask them if it felt good.
