Life Below Zero: Sue in the City: New York Eats
Life Below Zero's Sue Aikens takes a break from Alaskan cuisine to sample the food New York has to offer.
You crush me Sue, no fresh veggies oh wow ~ I live on them, I love them and I grow my own garden every year. Prices at the Super Market (yes I said Super Market) is so expensive, that I totally refuse to pay for them. Some I will buy however, but not to many of them. Oh and the fresh fruit, a must have as well. Sue, you have such a loving and gentle soul, but your really tough when need be. Love the show and many HUGS to you !!
Gotta Love the"Sue-Sickle"! Husband and I watch all the time. Can't get enough of the segments with Sue. You are an amazing lady. I love to hang out on my back deck at night and enjoy our quiet country life, and seeing the winter sky. I have let my mind wander a few times to wonder what it would be like in a colder, darker , place and thought of you and the adventure you live for a lifestyle. So glad you bought the camp. Praying for it to be a great success for you.
Know you are very busy, if time, a few questions please, for the curious in Pa.--
- Wonder if you can see the northern lights from your place--
-Also wonder if you have a green house or type of high tunnel to extend the season to grow a few green veggies?
--Do you do much canning of your meat harvests? or just freeze it? Do you grind any meats into hamburger for you recipes?
You could do a whole show just on day to day..cooking..preserving,.etc. .
.Would love to meet if you ever come South again,
--Love your attitude, your humour, your resourcefulness, your courage and your heart. Thank you for sharing with us your incredible lifestyle. Stay Safe and warm! Remember prayers are with you . and you thought of in here in"the south" lol-BLESSINGS ALWAYS from Pennsylvania.
You gotta love Sue. What a real down to earth individual. Life Below Zero is such a huge relief from all the in your face "reality" T.V shows. Makes you really appreciate a day in the life of Sue Aikens and how greatful she is for what she has "to work for" no less just to survive. Yes, we all know she chooses to live this way. I admire her because I believe I could not do what she does day in and day out.
