Host With The Most
Get To Know Tim Shaw, None Of The Above's Hair-Raising Host
From a child science whiz to an stunt-happy engineer, Tim Shaw brings his brand of science with an adventurous streak to America as the host of None Of The Above, where he challenges his audiences to guess the outcomes of his hair-raising experiments. As the title suggests, they rarely predict Tim's hijinks correctly.
Before Tim arrived in the States to bewilder average American citizens, he was a notable British broadcaster and, back in the day, a teenage inventor. An entrepreneurial prodigy, he was designing functional inventions at the young age of 15, including prototypes for folding walkers, flashing automotive brakelights and rubber ice cube trays. He went on to study engineering at Oxford University, and was named one of the country's Young Engineers of the Year in 1992 and 1994.
However, Tim wasn't cut out for a life in the lab. He rose to prominence as a radio broadcaster, hosting primetime talk shows on nearly all of the UK’s biggest commercial radio stations for nearly 17 years, becoming the most internationally awarded host in UK history for the global comedy and speech radio awards he snagged over the course of his career.
Switching gears yet again, Tim turned to television to host comedy and automotive shows in the UK, better suited to his daredevil inclinations. And best believe he does his own stunts; Tim's most recent experiment, "Man In Box," locked him in a wardrobe-sized metal box and challenged viewers to try and locate him, while streaming the spectacle on a 24-hour live stream. It's only fitting that Tim brought his talents to Nat Geo for None Of The Above, which pairs science, humor and stunts for a program only he could host.
So Tim , G Day Mate.....I am a kid from the seventies . Remember the moon landings? In your episode 17 from season one you dealt with objects falling in a gravity field. You know they did this experiment on the moon with a Falcon feather and a hammer. Both those objects did the same as your javelin , piano and bowling ball.
