Remote Control Demolition Derby
-
A Bright Idea
The Rednecks are racing radio-control cars in Daddy’s driveway when the competition gets a little out-of-control, and a race turns into a toy car demolition derby. Michael insists he’d win the derby if they were full-sized cars… and that leads to a plan: “Let’s make full-sized remote control cars!” Once they figure out how to turn a car into a remote-control vehicle, the guys decide they’ll have a demolition derby and crash their cars into each other to see which is the best one.

The Vehicles
Travis decides his vehicle will be the old Ford truck that everyone calls “Uncle Jesse.” Michael decides his vehicle will be an old RV, and chooses Rog to be his partner in turning the giant camper into a remote-control crash car.
-
Ready for Derby
Both Travis and Michael decide to “weaponize” their vehicles with spikes and saws to make the demolition derby more interesting.
-
New Friend
Meanwhile, Rog has acquired a rare and ugly “Hairless Guinea Pig” which he carries with him, annoying everyone during the build.
-
Daddy Disassembling
The guys acquire electronic devices that will control the brakes and gas pedal with simple radio controllers. The steering is a lot harder, but they create a pulley-like device welded on to the steering column that turns the truck right and left.
-
Hosed Down
Firefighters put out the torched remains of Michael Taylor's truck, Uncle Jesse.
