The Last Battle Let The Final Battle Begin It all comes down to this: A race across an icy glacier, down a whitewater river, and across the open ocean to Mount Augustine volcano. The teams must travel 60 miles in 60 hours. Glacial Trap The winning team will be crowned the Ultimate Alaskan Survivors. The leg begins high atop the Aleutian Mountains, where the competitors harness up and charge across a crevasse-laden glacier. Mountaineer Mindset An 80-foot ice wall stands in their way. As a team of experienced climbers, the Mountaineers never hesitate to harness up and tackle the glacial cliff. Straight Up As the only team consisting entirely of Alaskans, they are out to prove they are the most deserving of the title of Ultimate Alaskan Survivor. Staring down the face of yet another treacherous glacier, the team wastes no time, blazing a direct path off of the glacier. But once again, Alaska throws them a curveball. Slippery Slope As the team emerges from the woods, they discover a raging 150-foot water fall that blocks their path. Jagged rocks on either side of the falls make it impossible to rappel anywhere but straight down the gushing water fall. With no time to spare, the team decides to tackle the waterfall head-on. The Space Between The Mountaineers arrive at the river. A three hundred foot sheer rock cliff lies between the team and the water. Tricky Tyrolean Although the Tyrolean Traverse could save time, there's no telling how old and secure this rope is. Full Speed Ahead As the team prepares to cross, little do they know the Endurance athletes are already racing down the river at full speed.
