If not for my family I would like to live like Erik. Whao! That's a beautiful yard in the middle of nowhere. But why not fence it, just to beef-up protection from wild animals?

Erik, I'm so glad you are back on the show you are my FAVORITE!! I admire your ability to live this type of lifestyle. I love Alaska and have wanted to live there for some time. You are very blessed to be able to live in such a beautiful place!

You are amazing, your folks should be so proud of you.  You have sure proven yourself that you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I love watching the show and hope you return to it.

It would be nice to see you use safety chaps ear protection and a helmet while chain sawing your firewood,

Erik, I am not sure if you are J and S's son, but you are a ringer for your dad. I hope this is you and if it is , then way to go!

I agree.   PLEASE bring Eric back and get rid of Glen and Andy.  Andy needs anger management classes.  How his wife puts up with him, I don't know.

Bring Erik back. Glen doesn't know too much about hunting, fishing and trapping. Erik is the real thing and he was my favorite

I personally think Glen was only there to escape paying child support. What a loser. Bring Erik back please.

Please explain why you've added Glen, who is a loser, in place of Erik. I wouldn't be surprised if Erik wasn't all that into the public attention, but still he is the REAL thing, not a hippie dropout type. (There's nothing wrong with those types, but they aren't very interesting.) Erik and Sue are the reasons I became addicted to this show. Andy is a sexist jerk, and Mr. Hailstone keeps telling his expert marksman wife how to shoot and what she did wrong. He is very annoying.

If crapping in a bucket in 20 below weather is your idea of a plush life then I guess you found it. Personally I would rather choose when I went camping, fishing, hunting, etc.

You are the cast member I can most relate to but I do wonder why you are not in the new episodes.  I'm hoping it was not because of an apex predator situation gone bad!?!?  I appreciate the teaching aspect to your camera time.  It helps when you explain what you are doing and why.  For those of us who live the easy life without having to source our food in the woods it is nice to join you on hunts.

Get rid of Glenn.  He hasn't a clue on how to fish.  You don't reel the bait up to the very tip of the rod. and you don't  'hose" a pike in to retrieve it.  He's was luky to catch it in his dip net.  What dip head.  A good outdoorsman wouldn't be complaining about the mosquitoes.  He would know not to fish where the mosquitoes are.  As for his canoeing skill he sure seems to invite his own troubles.

Where's Erik this season? Get rid of Andy & his tirades & bring back Erik.

Where was Erik on the new episode?

He's my favorite character and I was very disappointed not to see him.

You haven't replaced him with the new guy I hope, he's not that interesting yet.

Erik: Enjoy you sharing your experience. I look forward to the new episodes every Sunday. You and I took a nice Brown Bear together out of Lliamna in 2008 when the rest of the party got blown off the mountain and had be rescued by chopper. That was FUN !!!

STAY SAFE..

wow..new respect! I'm glad (and surprised but not sure why) that you have an airplane. I guess me living in the South I wouldn't think of these things. Thank you for sharing this part of your life, it brings new perspective for us in the lower 48.
