Hello wild ? when you guys on show say stuff about bad sea what are they like . How high are the swells and how far apart ? I fished in the NW on a Dory and straight of the beach .
Way to go north. Nice to see tyler slowed down on his arrogant, obnoxious behavior. Initially, I was embarrassed that such a character would represent the north. He is showing many signs of change, which is a good thing. Maybe Marciano is actually rubbing off and being the role model his father never was. I say this by seeing his behavior on Wicked tuna for the first 2 seasons. Which was as we all know deplorable. Stay together, respect each other, and respect the competition boys, bring home the gold.
Looking good tyler please keep it up and continue to show humility.
Way to go North! .While you were out bluefinning the South was in "Safe Haven". There's an old poker term that apply's nicely to this episode..."Scared Money Never Wins"!!!
Yo here we go again the boat in the lead is run by a guy from Jersey. Just like Dave from Tuna.com the leader in the south is from the Jersey shore. The rest of you are fugazis so fogetaboudit. You cant beat a jersey fisherman no matter where you fish. You can be up north with those funny talking yankee rednecks or down south with the rebels who cant catch anything smarter then a large mouth bass. Yehaw aint that a real knee slapper.
Dave Marciano,I don't know if you read these post's,if you do please pay one of "Sully's"family member's the "IOU" you owe him. It's bad karma and it bring's bad "Juju" if you welch on money owed, especially to one (Rest His Soul) who went down with the Andrea Gail. You are a hard worker and one of my favorite's.Lift this onus and get on top of the "Leader Board" where you belong.Do the right thing Dave.
I like any captain that is fishing for their families lively hood. It shows the best quality in a man trying to make his living the best way he knows how to.
Well those yanks are taking a nice bite out of the fishing quota. The Fishin'Frenzy is like the southern answer to the FV-Tuna.Com probably because the Cap'n has deep grained Yankee Root's.I'm Sure he and his shotgun totin redneck mate will do well throughout this short season.Don't throw the towel in yet Marciano, the more you catch the more the Yahoo's on the Wahoo cry.
Wicked Tuna: North vs. South....So far, so good but lets face it, you don't have a show without the boys from the north... you can't get anymore blue-collar then these guys, and what a bunch of characters! Paul Hebert is pure entertainment...Big fan of Dave Marciano too!!The guys from the south are really not that interesting....
Finally those dumbasses from up north came to NC to let real men show them how to fish, with real bait and real boats.
What happened to the kid that always yelled out, "BOOST!!!?" He's the reason we watch the show!!! He's got us screaming out, "BOOST!" Get him back and encourage him to be himself and keep "BOOSTING!
Double bouts of pneumonia last season robbed Capt.Tyler of health But not spirit.... Love how he refocussed---got well and is back Living his dream--A true competitor and leader. --keep healthy & Good luck... !!! The PIN..."REELS"
If given a chance to fish I think the Northern Boy's will have a great season. The 3 northern boat's have a lot of knowledge and experience on deck. Their handicap is that they don't wear como or carry arm's on their boat's.GO NORTH!
Capt Jim Foy will provide his knowledge and fishing experience for you , but i don't think
you need it…..GO SOUTH
Great shows its so good to see these guys compete against each other . Commercial tuna fishing is a hard job and all these captains are true professionals north and south. As a retired commercial tuna fisherman ,I have fished with all but Marciano and I know their pain , stress and how good it feels to get that monster in the boat. A payday is never a guarantee. I wish all the captains luck and hope they all catch ,if it was easy everyone would be doing it. As for you Vermin all commercial fisherman work equally hard and its always been the fisherman that makes the boat, pretty or tarnished and yes we do own the ocean, at least down here come fish and find out. GO SOUTH
Week 2 and the voting machine still doesn't work. Hey NG fix this! Pin Head did something honorable by helping a boat that went aground. I like all the yankee fishermen.I think it will be between the Pin Head or Hot Tuna For the North. The southern boy's have nicer boat's but they are more of a pleasure craft instead of a hard core fishing vessel. All the rust and grit on the northern boat's is a testimony to how hard these guy's work to earn their pay.A pleasure craft does NOT make a fisherman. You do not own the ocean. Good luck Marciano.
This particular show is making america look exactly like the rest of the world is portraying us,A bunch of redneck morons out to make a quick buck,For one thing NGC's ad all over TV saying that one tuna can bring up to 20,000 dollars is basically singing its death warrant,In the old days NGC would have featured a program condemning the actions of a media outlet sensationalizing the depleting of a species for profit.
Maybe I missed something but NGC should be ashamed of that fact,I grew up with Jacques Cousteau on PBS and it left a long lasting impression on me and I feel his legacy should live on through NGC.Please NGC do not become the fox network of discovery!
For viewers wanting to know a bit more about how capture and handling affect pricing of a tuna, particularly on the Japanese raw fish market, you can view a guide on bluefin tuna handling produced by North Carolina Sea Grant. I think this also will make clearer what Captains Greg Mayer and Paul Hebert meant when they said the tuna "burns from the inside out" in their interview on Fox & Friends 6:50am, Thursday, Aug. 14. (http://fb.me/3lLchXELg).
Editing was a little off. Boat was trolling in green/brown water and 2 seconds latter was hooked up in deep blue water. Also, when the Wahoo was putting ice on what the show said was the first fish - you could see a second fish in the hold all ready iced down. Really need to tighten up the editing to make the show believable.
@Joseph Thomas Hey Joe,there's no need for indignant comment's.Are you suggesting that the Yank's use fake bait and fish in fake boat's I would really like to see the southern boats travel north where it's a whole different fishery. Then we will see who the"Real" bluefinner's are.
@Mike Howard It's on NGTV; Charter Channel 762
