Who Speaks for Earth?

On the epic Cosmic Calendar we retrace the 14 billion year-long journey from the Big Bang to the present. We return to ancient Alexandria for the tragic story of the mathematician and philosopher, Hypatia. The story of her martyrdom and the destruction of the Library are an example of why science must belong to all of us. Dr. Sagan argues that our responsibility for survival is owed not just to ourselves but also to the Cosmos, ancient and vast, from which we spring.
