Meet the Preppers: Jason Beacham

"I'm prepping for civil unrest due to economic collapse."

Teenage prepper Jason Beacham is preparing for anarchy following the collapse of the U.S. economy. He is 15 years old and lives in Missouri with his mom and two brothers. When he was just 11 years old he started watching zombie movies, which inspired him to start prepping. Because of his prepping, Jason considers himself the “black sheep” of his family. He has stockpiled a year’s worth of food as well as gas masks, camouflage gear, survival equipment and even a gun, which he got for his 15th birthday. Jason is teaming up with three school friends to create a trio of preppers. They prep together, bury and hide caches around the woods, and perform different mock bug out drills. No matter what Jason’s brothers or classmates think of his prepping, he is determined to survive and leave everyone else behind.

Jason Beacham is proof that it’s never too early to start prepping. Raised on a military base with a dad serving in the armed forces, preparedness had always been a part of Jason’s life – but this smart, resourceful teen took it to the next level.

Jason is prepping for anarchy and chaos following what he feels is an impending global financial collapse. His main prep is an impressive weapons cache that ranges from firearms and knives to more creative self defense objects... like his “Maceball Bat.”

The Maceball Bat was made by taking a wooden bat, hammering nails into it, and then shaving the ends of those nails down into points on a metal grinder. The resulting mace is an intimidating and daunting looter deterrent that is easily assembled from items that a teenager would have readily accessible.
