Location: Eagle is located on the southern bank of the Yukon River, 6miles west of the border between Alaska and the Yukon Territory of Canada. The city has 1 square mile of land area.

Amenities: The nearest Alaskan city is 75 miles away by road. The town has a church, a courthouse museum, a smallschoolhouse, a general store, a bed and breakfast Inn, and the Eagle Mall, which is a four-booth open-air tourist shop covered with a tarp.

How to Get There:
Eagle is reachable by the Taylor and Top of the World Highways, air and water.

Weather:
Eagle is cool during summer when temperatures tend to be in the 50's and extremely cold during winter when temperatures tend to be between -22 to -2degrees Fahrenheit. July is the warmest month with an average maximum temperature of 72degrees Fahrenheit, while the coldest month of the year is January with an average minimum temperature of -2degrees Fahrenheit.
Features: Every February, Eagle hosts a checkpoint for the long-distance Yukon Quest sled dog race. Eagle sits on the edge of the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve and those wanting to explore the park can investigate the National Park Service Visitor Center in town. Eagle is a well-preserved boomtown of the gold rush era.
