As Chief Port Pilot Captain Rubino guides TraPacs two $15M, 200-foot-tall cranes under the Vincent Thomas Bridge (with clearance of 193 feet), Captain Betz rides at the top of the A-frame of one crane for visual confirmation. If they hit the bridge, they might lose the cranes and Betz. The Coast Guard escorts the crane ship and encounters a drunken sailor whose bizarre behavior could jeopardize the operation.
