Trainer John Garcia takes on a tough project with Chico, a border-collie mix with strong prey drive , who came to the sanctuary after killing a family Yorkie and some chickens. Johns determined to teach Chico, the right way to behave around small animals so the dog can one day live safely in a home. But if John cant train Chico to resist his instincts, the dog will likely spend the rest of his days behind sanctuary walls. Trainer Ann Allums faces a new challenge with Tuxedo, a puppy who arrived at DogTown near death and lost his eyesight as a result of Salmonella poisoning. Ann must help this adorable pup learn basic skills and obedience to keep him out of danger. And, Trainer Pat Whitacre comes to the rescue of a stray chocolate lab-mix named Scone who was days away from being euthanized at a local animal control center. Scone is severely emaciated with bones protruding from his body and a jerky gait from an unknown injury. Pats determined to help the gentle-natured dog find a home, but first he needs to help the dog get healthy.
