These tasty beads can’t be beat! They’re a great way to reuse that food wrapper you’re about to throw away. Plus it really shows that one person’s garbage can be another person’s gems.
Materials: - clean, empty food wrapper (at least 8” long) - toothpick - scissors - clear tape - ruler - bead template - jewelry findings
Instructions:
1. Use your bead template to cut your food wrapper into long strips.
2. Place the long strips on a flat surface with the colorful side face down. Lay your toothpick on the widest end and roll it up.
3. Cut tiny little pieces of tape to about .5” x .25”. Use one of these pieces to secure the end of the rolled bead. Make as many beads as you wish.
4. Use the beads to create your own jewelry. To make a simple necklace or bracelet, string the beads onto stretchy cord. Tip: a good length for a necklace is 16” and for a bracelet is 6”. You can also add little seed beads in between the wrapper beads for extra glitz.
