September 7, 2004: US forces are about to attack Tall 'Afar in northwest Iraq. Journalists Scott Taylor and Zeynep Tugrul rush to the remote city to report from the front line. But they are kidnapped by insurgents who think theyre American spies. From then on their lives hang in the balance as the American military pounds the city and the journalists face execution and torture and witness scenes few Westerners have ever survived.
