The drought is over and the rains have arrived, hopefully in time for baby Breeze’s survival. As hundreds of elephants descend on the reserve for the breeding season, the research team hits its busiest time of the year. With the help of new technology, Saba Douglas-Hamilton tracks down the biggest land animals on earth: the mighty bull elephants. But even Saba is keeping her distance when Rommel, a dangerous bull who once flattened a truck and tried to kill two of the team’s researchers, arrives on the scene. Outside the reserve, Onesmas Kahindi investigates two mysterious elephant deaths — a sign that poachers may be operating in the area. Meanwhile, researcher David Daballen and his team launch a life-or-death operation to save a baby elephant in trouble.
