  • Rehabilitating a fearful dog can be a difficult task, especially one like Brigadiere who does not trust humans and bites them. With the possibility of abuse in the past, Cesars main concern now is to find the right person or family member that can gain Brigadieres trust. Cesar is seen here brushing the dogs back.

  • Brigadiere is a mixed breed rescue in the care of Eva who seems to be the only person that can pet him without being bitten. In the hopes of getting the dog less fearful of strangers and more confident, Eva calls on Cesar for help. Here Cesar is holding the dog on a lease in a swimming pool while Eva watches.
  • After Cesar's initial evaluation, the second part was to introduce him to other dogs and see his reaction. Brigadiere has no choice but to surrender. Cesar assures Eva that by overcoming this fear, Brigadiere will find the right person to gain his trust and find a deserving home.
  • Meet the first of three candidates, Janne and Sofie Christiansen, here to meet Cesar about offering Brigadiere a loving home. From the north of Italy on the border of Switzerland, Janne and Sofie arrived with their pack of three dogs. The Christiansens have the time, the space, and the heart to adopt more and more dogs in need. After following Cesars three basic rules: no touch, no talk and no eye contact, the Christiansens first meeting with Brigadiere goes well.
  • Brigadiere meets the second candidates, Massimo Micucci and Ursula Hawlitschka, with their two Saluki dogs. The couple has always wanted the opportunity to rescue a dog and hope that Brigadiere will be the one. Being introduced one by one, Brigadiere slowly seems content and at home with the couple and their dogs.
  • The third candidates have never had a dog, but are up for the challenge of adopting a rescue dog like Brigadiere. With a different approach than the other candidates, Cesar has Karin earn the trust of Brigadiere and her tense approach has the dog backing away. Renato on the other hand has better luck with his patience and relaxed demeanor. He is able to take the dog on a walk.
