The Secret Life of Cats

Cat's paws are ultra-sensitive.  They have thousands of nerve endings around the tiny pads and between their toes.  Cats walk on tiptoe and have more sensitivity in their toes to feel the texture and temperature of the ground.  Which is why even though we enjoy a soothing foot massage, cats don't usually like anyone touching their feet.
