The bonobos social life is based on sex  not violence.  Everyone does it.  Males with males.  Females with females.  Old with young.  They use sex as a greeting.  To appease.  To reassure.  For the worlds most erotic apes, sex is the binding force that creates a satisfied, contented, peaceful society.
