Why is National Geographic posting incorrect information about this endangered species? Komodo Dragons do not have venom at all, let alone "huge venom reservoirs." Komodo Dragons use their sharp, serrated teeth and powerful bite to kill their prey. Please stop perpetuating this false information about Komodo dragons and their "venom sacks." This is not the correct story we want to raise awareness of this animal. Instead, please raise awareness about it's conservation story and need!
You probably didn't see the show where they explained that researchers tested the Komodo Dragon's saliva and did not find any bacteria which could kill an animal as fast as the Dragon's bite does. They did more testing on the Dragon's saliva and did indeed find a form of venom. Maybe you should do more research before making statements that are not all together true either.
