Mating Maniacs

A flash of red from the fire bellied toad warns predators of potent poisons. During the day, males feast. They need all the energy they can get, because at night, they go looking for love in all the wrong places. The horny toads will hump anything: floating twigs; fish; even human fingers. Competition is stiff. Males out number females 15 to one.
