If the family had a designated warrior, it would be the outdoorsy Dawn Marie. The 20-year-old is tough — both physically and mentally, and feels most at home when shes out in the wilderness. Dawn-Marie has a similar constitution to Brent Sr., and at the outset seems like the child with the most innate survival skills. She is a believer in the end of days, and will fight for survival by any means necessary.

Ok, I believe the write-up for you Dawn-Marie, but what about being a game player with your brothers and sisters.  If the "SHTF" you need to be in tune with your family, knowing what and how they think when things are happening.  I am not sure this happens between individuals in all families, but I know what my dad is thinking and what he going to say before he says anything.  We click!

Being a "Lone-Ranger" probably won't be a good thing.  We need someone to be covering our back, and that is your family.  I think your dad, Brent wants your family to gel together as one and that is unbeatable!

Keep up the preps!

She is like the best person in the show! She is cool funny, risk taking (in a good way), and dangerous... I like her and her twin!

watching the show I was wondering about a few things. the gate hinges seem like a weak point, and wouldn't the cinder blocks themselves be a failure point? the blocks can be shattered even with the concrete fill and rebar. I do like the show even if I seem to be criticizing. and while all the girls are beautiful, for some reason I seem to gravitate towards dawn-marie.

@joshua goacher If they're dealing with the kind of breaching power that can shatter rebar-reinforced cinderblocks, then they're going to have to make an egress anyway.  Or all-out win the conflict.  But I don't think they're setting themselves up to be helpless victims hiding behind the walls.  They're defending a fortress - and fortresses, though not impossible to breach, or very defensible.  And remember, the Bruns are gonna be raining down hell and fury on anyone who makes it up that hill.

Yeah, I'm really impressed with the twins.  Though obviously a little immature, they are fearless and smart, tireless and accurate with everything they do.
