Animals are the natural extension of the human race. Many need protection, before they are wiped out due to ignorance. In the United States, the Grey Wolf is one such species that is on the “run” again for its survival. Please go onto MoveOn and read, and if inclined, please sign my petition. he is watching me...Love it!
Wolves are the most misunderstood animals in the world. People are driven by the mythology of the big bad wolf in Little Red Riding Hood and The Three Little Pigs. Wolves are quite the opposite of this depiction. They live socially like a family similar to our structure, with an alpha breeding couple, who lead this socially organized pack. They play a major part in the eco-system by taking down animals, such as elk, which, without a predator, overrun the eco-system and destroy it. All plants and animals work in synergy to maintain this eco-system. Humans have set out to destroy this delicate balance, thereby bringing harm to all humans. When will these politicos who cave in to big business, ranchers, and the NRA finally come to their senses. Have they learned nothing from what happened in Yellowstone? Apparently not. And, now, after delisting wolves from the Endangered Species List in many states, the US government is presently hearing the backlash of its proposal to delist wolves in all of the lower 48 states. If this passes, wolves will once again face extinction, a disaster for all of us. We cannot destroy animals who are as much a symbol of America as the Eagle. Stop the madness. Sign every petition and send your comments to the US Fish and Wildlife Service to stop the passing of this act. You can obtain the specific information at www.causes.com, Stop Wolf Trapping in Montana. There is a pledge drive to send comment letters on that page to Save the Wolves. Thank you for reading this.
Wolves are awesome but wildlife bioligists study them.They made friends with them so why can't ppl not be friends with them like bioligists are? When the bioligists are in the forest the same forest the wolf tackle then and lick him or her.
Wolves are such important and beautiful animals. It makes no sense to me that people kill wolves like they're vermin. What people don't understand is that without this apex predator the moose, deer, beaver, and many other pray animal populations will explode putting too much strain on the environment. The wolf really is an amazing animal and it deserves to live.
I hope Casey depicts the wolf not as a "Monster" in this episode; they need all the help they can get in the US, where they are being eradicated by the states of Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and Wisconsin. In fact, in Wisconsin (where I live), wolves can be hunted with dogs starting this October. This will result in horrific fights between these two canines, and bloody deaths will occur..."state-sanctioned" dog fighting. Please Casey, advocate for the wolf!
It is a disgrace that the people in Wyoming, Montana and Idaho only see these animals from the perspective of money and greed and as hunters who want more elk and cattlemen who do not take proper protective measures and want others to fund that protection at no cost to themselves. There are only about 6,000 wolves left and they have killed off at least 1,200 so far....several with radio tracking collars.
@Carole Altendorf I agree totally.
@Courtney Beck I live and work in Wyoming often in the places introduced wolves live, and they are amazing, beautiful creatures. And while I agree with you about hunting and ranchers, it's important to remember that many people, especially in California, continue to seek and find wolf/dog mixes for pets. This almost always ends in a disastrous situation where the animal attacks a human and it is the animal that pays the ultimate price with it's life. Wild animals should be left in the wild. If you want a dog that looks like a wolf, buy a well bred Husky. Just my 2 cents worth. Have a nice evening.
